The forest cabin is situated on the Grimeton nature reserve and has a magnificent view of the lake and forest below. Architect notes : The intention of the cabin is to have a low-impact functionality and all materials are chosen with environmental awareness. We want them to age with beauty and grace. When you reach the cabin you meet a closed facade that does not reveal anything until one enters.
Two volumes stand on plinths interacting with each other. The varying room volumes and framed views give a variation of the same concentrated view. The exterior wood facade is treated with tar, the interior walls are of wood, floor of oak and concrete, fireplace of concrete.
