As part of the UNESCO historic site, the expansion of the Ibla park inside an area of ​​San Domenico Church is very important for the preservation. All new arrangements consist of a strict spatial architecture and complete road system, this allows the use of space and perception of new and different points of view.

Contemporary architecture, in this context not entirely self references, but coming from a place and elements of surrounding buildings. The design concept of this botanical garden related to urban perception of traditional materials, limestone, mixed with a contemporary steel and glass, is adhering to the idea of balance and sensitivity. Large courts conceived as a space for meeting and outdoor sculpture exhibition. The walls in the soft limestone of the rods vertical plane is defined apart from each other through the window.
